My Little Phony

Though the arena is set up and the center light is blazing, there is curiously no commentary table. Before one can lament the lack of overwrought punditry, there is a loud crackle over an ancient-sounding intercom that gives way to a loud, boisterous voice:

"Welcome to the annual - well this annum's - MAXX MADNESS IN THE THUNDERDOME! This humble, hallowed hall holds the hopes and dreams of many Babbies from the harsh realities of Phonyland, giving them a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to realize not only their ambitions, but themselves, as whole, grown, Old Enough Phonies.

This is what's at stake today, folks, as we settle down to watch the romp of our lives from Phonies who, not so long ago, were in rompers. Today we watch colts and fillies become grown-ass stallions and mares. Today, we watch Babbies. Fight.

LET'S RUMBLE!"



How this works:
All rolls will be done by Ph0ny (unless Maxx accidentally leaves it as himself, then it's Maxx. Actually, Maxx just gave up, it's Maxx). You just have to sit and watch and pray your little angel does all right!
1. 1st roll determines whether the higher or lower roll between the two contenders is the winning roll. 1 means higher roll wins, 2 means lower roll wins.
2. 2nd roll of 2 dice, assigned in the order of names shown (i.e. Name 1 vs Name 2), determines who wins.

"In the meantime, it's on to the other side of the brackets! A brutal defeat by a cheating opponent cost him his short life's work, reputation, and championship. Today, this little boy looks to prove to his loving and supportive family that he is deserving of their eternal faith. The Gamemaster comes to the ring to show that you can play and win by the rules!"

"This little girl was cruelly cut down in the prime of her life as an unfair casualty in the game of life and probably gang fights! Her unsettled spirit has returned to the dark and dirty streets of Phony City to find her killer and do unto others what was done unto her - Necroprancer arrives with all hooves outta the grave!"

"This little girl thought she and her partner had the title of Elite Salsamenco in the bag, but her innocence was shattered when the swine turned tail to join forces with her fiercest rival and evil twin! Fan-DAMN-Go may have been scorned, but she'll bravely go it alone and prove she's the sister at the top!"

"Aliens exist, and this little girl wants to believe so she can crush them...for ultimate dominion over planet Earth! Her shamelessly simple and brutal mindset will be tested as she enters the ring - will Instrumentality become lord and master of all who face her?!"

"This little boy totalled his old car, and is out to - what? He's building his new ride! Self-funding and finding the value in hard work and building character, Kid Engineer is speeding down the highway into the Thunderdome!"

"Who wants to stay in knitting class? Well, some people do - but not this little boy, who is putting down the needles to use his hooves for more violent means. Will Star Slinger find himself in the ring? Let's find out!"

"It's our last match of the day, and Satin Pointe is eagerly watching to see who will be her future opponent. Well, this little boy got in a wee spot of trouble thanks to exposure - but it wasn't indecent, it was just caught on film. After burying his old camera, he found himself right here in the Thunderdome. How do you keep clumsy kids out of trouble? By putting them in the ring, of course! Here comes F-Stop!"

"Straight out of the old classic is this little boy, who found a curious pot of ink in an old library that put him outta sight - with the side effects of hallucinations, diabolical plots and sleep deprivation, he's out to see just what his new powers can do! Now you see him - or do you, really?! We're sure he's here: Invisible Ink!"

F-Stop can't stop and won't stop, but he might be stopped by Satin Pointe (Sugarplum Dance) when it comes down to that fight!  We'll see you again when it's time for the next round of MAXX MADNESS IN THE THUNDERDOME!"

Alas, poor Hoodwink has been hoodwinked, and his downfall was crafted by the ever-adaptable Kid Engineer!"

"There's another babby looking to smash some heads, but she's not looking to ascend them - she's looking to pull them under. Necroprancer is back from the dead (again), or so it is said!

Oh, they're hissing at each other from across the ring. If there's some sort of history here folks, it's totally going over my head. Let's fight!"

Don't ask me, folks, I failed statistics!* Frightening scenes here in the Thunderdome as tensions rise to a fever pitch - the babbies who won their first battles are here to literally fight to the finish! Necroprancer has crashed what was Kid Engineer's cool ride to the finals!"

"Could it be the quick-hooved Fan-DAMN-Go with dance-steps of destruction? Or the dainty and deadly Satin Pointe with no holds barred? One thing's for sure - this is a dance to remember!"

Fan-DAMN-Go lost her match and she lost her trophy, now she's - uh we'd better do something about that."

"What a round this has been! We were all holding our breaths and we're going to hold them some more until we see you next time for the finals between Satin Pointe and Necroprancer!"

Tension is thick in the air and I'm sure you'd like me to stop talking and let the fine babbies of the ring make their way in. It's the last match between Satin Pointe and Necroprancer!

"She came from the grave and hasn't returned since: Necroprancer is bringing the fire - and brimstone - to the Thunderdome! She'll be looking to add Satin Pointe to her collection of bodies and show that ghouls rule the ring for the final match."

Necroprancer bolts away when Satin Pointe re-enters the ring, but just can't escape as Satin Pointe aggressively rushes her into a post and - if you have any babbies on you (ironic), you might want to cover their eyes as the steel chair comes crashing down onto Necroprancer, like Mankind plummeting 16 ft off Hell In A Cell through an announcer's table in 1998! What a way to end the competition! Someone check on that kid - but as we can all see, Satin Pointe is the match winner and champion of Maxx Madness in the Thunderdome!"
