My Little Phony

An older Phony who has mostly napped through the many excitements Phonyland has endured thus far. A loving mother and wife, Yawn is soft and sweet and can be roused from her slumber for mere moments to impart some motherly advice or help fix up a sandwich before she drifts off again. Nobody is quite sure how she gets around but she can often be found asleep in the oddest places and poor Tangles is always on a mission to make sure she doesn't drown in a lake somewhere.

You would be surprised to learn that Candy Cane is obsessed with candy canes. Wow, I know. She was once a sugar fiend with no other than purpose than to eat candy canes and sugary things while talking a million miles an hour and occasionally scamming older folks out of their pension so she could buy more. However Candy Cane has mellowed as the years go by, ever so slightly. Her focus shifted to her family and her lovely wife and now that the kids are mostly grown or at least self-sufficient, Candy Cane is focusing on getting out and about, still talking too much and way too loud but now trying to broaden her horizons a little bit.

Soft-spoken and kind, Lullaby has taken after his mother in many ways. When overcome by emotions, he tends to slip into a drowsy state and will drift to sleep is you don't give him a shake. He spent most of his younger years being very uncertain and anxious but since meeting Draft Punk and raising their children together, a new confidence has blossomed. Perhaps it was having to deal with Shrill X's shenanigans for years but Lullaby will now stand up for himself (instead of stammering and giving up) and should you ever threaten anyone in his family, you'll wish you'd never dared.

Lullaby's pet bird Minstrel is his very good friend and companion. Minstrel isn't always there during the day (he's wooing the lady birds) but he returns every night to groom Lull and sleeps beside his bed.

A strong-willed go-getter, Pink Lemonade has gone from a filly with a dream to an adult with a successful business that she runs with her husband, brother and sister. Cloud Nine is the place to be in Phonyland with some of the best food and drinks in town. PL doesn't have a lazy bone in her body and is always on the move, whether it's working, promoting or just looking after her friends and family. If you need an honest opinion or someone to talk to, she'll be there to mix you a drink and sort it out.

Purpose: Owning her own establishment and making the best drinks in town!

A neurotic doomsayer, Cirrus has come a very long way from where he began. Having fallen in love with the one who ruined his life and set him on a course of doom and gloom, the world is slowly changing for the morose fellow. With the addition of children, Cirrus has turned his focus on being an overly-protective nervous wreck of a parent. He adores his little family with all of his heart and would go to the ends of the earth for them. The world is a terrifying place but he'll face it with trembling knees if it means protecting his wife and children.

Previously: Soft-spoken and morose, Cirrus has been shaped by the horrors in his life and has been unable to overcome them. As such he doesn't quite understand happiness. The best he can ever hope for is to be content, a state he only ever achieves if he makes himself useful by helping others. His life is dedicated to stopping the machinations of evil and despite being terrified of almost everything, his true strength lies in self-sacrifice and rising above his fear.

Before Death: A soft-spoken youngster who is often 'not quite there'. He can usually be found in his own little world, either having tea time with his stuffed toys and reading their tea leaves or watching the clouds. Cirrus has a strong interest in superstitions and reading the signs of the world around him. He will often remark on the various shapes of clouds or what the sighting of a particular bug means. Was voted 'most likely to accidentally walk off a cliff'.

Tiger Balm is fierce. Specialising in traditional herbal remedies, she has believes strongly in their healing abilities and will smack you if you dare suggest otherwise. Her big attitude and sometimes short temper is tempered by her desire to help others become happier and healthier.

Purpose: Makes and sells traditional herbal remedies 
Likes: Herbs, natural remedies, helping people, people who respect her medicine
Dislikes: Pharmacies, anyone disrespecting her work, rude people

A stoic and no-nonsense pirate captain, Jolly Roger takes great pride in his crew and ship. The captain of his vessel, he rarely leaves her deck or take time out for himself and can be quite the grouch. Emotions are not his strong suit, seeing them as a sign of weakness in himself. But underneath the gruff exterior is a big heart and a lot of feelings. He'll go out of his way to help others and will shed a tear in his private cabin when his crew surprise him with something nice.

Purpose: Pirate Captain
Likes: Sailing, his crew, giving orders
Dislikes: People finding out he's actually nice, smiling.
Romance?: Pirates don't need love, he yars and then blinks awkwardly and refuses to meet your gaze. Has feelings for a certain construction worker that he doesn't know what to do with.

Loud, obnoxious with a need-for-speed complex, Shrill X is a whole lot of trouble. Completely unpredictable, she shifts moods on a dime and will talk your ears off and make a thousand promises before leaving you high and dry. She's a whirlwind personality and if you let her she'll blow you over. But she means well in her own way and just wants to have a bit of fun. Even having kids hasn't mellowed her out.

A warm and loving girl, Mossflower is always available when you need a friend. She has very strong beliefs, especially when it comes to animals and won't stand for any sort of injustice. She isn't afraid of speaking her mind (or even getting physical if a life is at stake) and will always strive to protect her loved ones. She lives close to the forest in a cottage with her best friend Zen and their children, and can often be found wandering around the woods or tending to hurt creatures.

Purpose: To care for and protect the woodland animals

Truth, love and the universe are the core of Wildflour's belief system and he's happy to share it with you. This fellow is an odd mix of open-minded acceptance and stubbornly insisting that his ideals are the best ones. (It's fine that you're not vegan but it's obviously the better lifestyle choice.) It's not that he's trying to force anything down your throat; he just wants you to be the best you can be. Typically languid and lacking expression, Free easily comes across as standoffish and it's only through contact and understanding that you will find the loyal friend within. He prizes his own freedom above all and tries to live up to his name, though sometimes he's not even sure what real 'freedom' is. Scrambled is... well, a bit scrambled. She's a box of eggs that's been dropped one too many times. But she's a good kid who loves chickens and has an innate fear of knives.

Of her three siblings, Oathkeeper is the fighter. A knight, of sorts - she has her own brand of justice, which usually involves getting her hooves dirty. A quick-witted charmer who could talk the clothes off your back if he wanted. Confidence is key in this game and he's got it in spades. Just as mysterious and fun as the midway itself, Rigged is impossible to predict and always ready to take a chance. But will you ever meet the real him? Probably not.

You're not scared, are you? Sure she has a few extra limbs and her smile looks a bit dangerous and when she stares at you it's with multiple eyes but she's really very sweet. Itsy Bitsy just loves spiders; she'll love you too if you'll let her coax her friend out of your house before you swat them. She enjoys hugs and weaving nice gifts for everyone and will happily recite silly nursery rhymes to your young children.

Big-eyed and somewhat unnerving, Catch of the Day is a surprisingly hard worker. She's got big dreams behind that vacant stare and goes about her day with a purpose. She knows it's the big fish who eats the little fish, so she wants to make sure she's the one on top! (She also eats a lot of fish just to make sure).
