[Round One]

A Lunar New Year ushers in New Beginnings for Phonyland! It's an exciting time of year to welcome good fortune and love into everyphony's lives~ Some way or another your phony finds themselves following the scent of roses - a fragrance filled with both desire and passion. They make their way into a beautiful rose garden that's decorated with gorgeous red lanterns and silky curtains, and even sublime velvet furniture for relaxing and socializing. There are some candlelit tables arranged in a circle with numbered cards tucked into the floral centerpiece (Table #1, #2, #3, etc.) but each table is set intimately for two. In the center of the garden you notice a familiar looking bartender sitting on a comfortable looking chaise lounge... with a large basket of fortune cookies next to him. He beckons you over with a suggestive wink and explains the situation to you.

"Looking for love, huh? You found yourself in the right place. My name is Fruit Punch and I'm here to guide you through a wonderful dating experience but you'll need to follow my instructions. Round One, you'll write your name on the Sign Up sheet and grab a cookie - just sit tight and hang out while I get the guestlist together. Once the Sign In is completed, we'll start the next round. In Round Two you'll open your cookie to get a number and a unique fortune. You'll sit at the table that matches the number you've drawn. Once everyone is paired up we'll start Round Three. Sounds great, right? Let's get started."

-Round One - Signups: will be from Monday, 02/21/22, @ 7:00 PM CST to Sunday, 02/27/22, 7:00 PM CST
-Round Two - Matchups: will begin on Sunday, 02/27/22, @ 7:05 PM CST - Hope will roll for which phony will go to which table (via rolling in the forum - this is intended for a randomized dating experience).
-Round Three - Dating: will begin on Monday, 02/28/22, @ 7:00 PM CST - Matchups will be posted for the assigned couples to interact! Use those fortunes (created by each user for their phony) as conversation starters during the date!

*Note: If there are an odd number of guests signed up, Fruit Punch will be their date for the evening!

Phony City is showcasing its celebration every night this month with an outdoor Lunar New Year Festival~ Come join the Year of the Tiger — which celebrates strength and courage Festivities will include a variety of activities for phony of all ages and sizes - Admission Tickets are Free with a Valid Photo ID but guests are required to wear complimentary Colored Wristbands for Identification. Vendor stalls lining the streets are filled with an assortment of colorful wares from locally handcrafted goods and professional commercial exhibits, games to amuse souls both young and old, and walk-through art gallery to honor Phonyland's vibrant community and cultural heritage. The sweet and succulent scents of freshly prepared foods waft through the pleasantly cool night air! Live musical performances can be heard throughout the shopping district. Art installations of beautiful red paper lanterns throughout the shopping district to celebrate the Year of the Tiger and provide a comforting and warm red glow to the nightly streetscape. The Lunar New Year Festival will also include a colorful live dragon dance and a lantern parade!

This ORP is for everyphony wanting to participate it will be Open for guests to arrive from 2/7/2022 to 2/28/2022. The ORP may possibly continue beyond this date but just for keeping this thread tidy I'd like to have a general play timeline in place).Your phony can participate in the event as much or as little as you'd like! Volunteer opportunities for anyphony wanting to be a Vendor, Event Performer, or Event Staff in some capacity (Security Detail, Game Operator, Chef, etc).

[1st Speed Dating Event & 2nd Speed Dating Event for Reference]

Once upon a time in Phonyland, there existed a bar run by a colorful family of phonies called Cloud Nine. After beans were spilt about a certain bartender maybe being a little too much of a Drama Queen for his sisters to deal with, said bartender needed to come up with a very creative (i.e. lucrative) apology to avoid getting his buns roasted and toasted with a flamethrower. After both watching Love Potion No. 9 and consuming the beverage with the same splendid name, it finally occurred to him - Host a Speed Dating event at the bar!

Close friends and family of the bar owners received personalized hoof-written invitations in the mail. Flyers were hastily and maybe even haphazardly posted around town. Word of mouth traveled through the proverbial grapevine. Some kind of way YOU find yourself entering Cloud Nine one fine evening for an event meant to help you potentially meet that somephony special. After registering for the event, getting a time and date confirmation on your Event Ticket, you enter a romantically decorated and even candlelit bar! Cozy looking tables with rose petals sprinkled about are set up to accommodate the event. Jazz music playing softly in the background and even a dancefloor have been prepared to help get you into the mood and groove! You are promptly informed upon entering the establishment (and then reminded several times after) that you will be provided with only one complimentary beverage for free with your Event Ticket. A snack bar is set up on a table along the wall but it's quite apparent that kitchen staff is also present and ready to cook any entrees as ordered; a bar menu has been placed at each table.

Best to get ready and find a seat quickly before the timer locks you in for the five minute rounds and STARTS!

How It Works: aka. the part Syr stole from StarieMichie, and Hope stole from them. :3
The room is set up with small tables forming a circle. Each table has two chairs that face each other. The idea is that each Phony gets to ask every other Phony three questions. No skipping over Phonies that you might not necessarily like (we all came here to have a good time so please play nicely).

Part One:
To make this easier, your Phony is going to be asking the same three questions to every other Phony. Simply make a post where your Phony enters the room, and then preps their questions.

Fruit Punch stood leaning against the wall behind the bar counter, hoping the event would be successful. He needed to avoid pissing Pink Lemonade off more than he already had for swearing and raising his voice in front of Butter Beer and his friends. Damn, he really couldn't get away with misbehavior anymore, could he? With a sigh he needed to make the night go by swimmingly but this was going to take a while...

While he wasn't able to attend the event as a participant he did decide to fill out the questionnaire just for the hell of it. At least he might get a laugh or two from the responses while he was also 'on the clock' tonight.

Part Two:
Once all participants have posted their questions, reply to all of them (well, other than your own, because that would just be silly). If you like, add some pizazz to your answers and RP how your Phony is reacting to being asked them. Your Phony wants to make a good first impression, right?

Part Three:
MINGLE! After answering all the Phonies' questions, feel free to go up and to your favorites to plan out future meetings and encounters if you liked them, or to throw your drink in their face if you didn't like them.

Fruit Punch: -is closing the bar for the night, finishing up his evening duties before he could lock up and call it a day. Pink Lemonade had taken the night off so he'd agreed to help babysit her son and finally let her relax. The unicorn was currently tidying up the bar counter, having Butter Beer help him with what tasks were deemed 'appropriate' for his age group without getting him into any trouble- Okay, I've got this end of the bar covered, little man. Do you want to take care of wiping tables for me to make this a team effort? If we finish up pretty quick, I might be willing to let you experiment in the kitchen? -knows BB well enough to understand he didn't 'work for free'-

Another quiet night in Phonyland - the perfect opportunity for Knockout to scope out some new locations he'd been meaning to check up on. While the vigilante regularly patrolled for evildoers and other criminals, he still had to pay the bills when there wasn't some phony needing to get whooped. His other side job was stealing leftover junk from abandoned places and reselling it later; a typically quick and easy job. The Pegasus looked around the dimly lit area and found his primary target: an abandoned warehouse. With ease he hopped and flapped over the chain link perimeter fence, looking for a way to get access inside the now rusting metal building.
