Kit happily pranced around his kitchen, checking the food prep and ensuring he had enough supplies. The big morning rush had passed so it was the calmer time for the diner which meant he could restock and make some more ingredients. Looking up he heard the jingle of the bell over the door. His normal waitress had stepped outside to have a quick sit down so he knew he should help out other than cooking!
The large draft stallion walked out, smiling at the pegasus and the smaller phoal. "Howdy! Welcome to Country's Kitchen! I'm Country Kitchen!" he chuckled, "But everyone just calls me Kit." His accent was rather thick but he had kind eyes under his hat. He glanced down as he saw the little one gobble up a fallen fry from the floor, "Woah thar littlin. No need eatin off the floor, I can make you some fries!"
His voice wasn't loud our mad sounding, in fact he seemed amused by it. His mother often told him she had issues keeping her large son from eating everything he could see. "Here, lemme get you a kid seat." He picked up a booster seat so Scrambled could see up at the table before he turned to King Cock. "Maw always told me I ate everything I could see too," he chuckled and nodded to the menus on the table, "Just take a gander and yer waitress will be by shortly."

The smell of fresh bread wafted from the bakery window as Bon Appetit finished preparing a small basket of goodies. Inside was some delicious looking sub sandwiches, a few regular sandwiches for the children, as well as a few pastries. All homemade bread and baked by the fresh baker. After locking up the store she walked down toward a certain colorful Pegasus's home. The blonde mare wondered how she'd gotten so luck to catch the eye of Hot Rod, or Roddy as he was called. For awhile now she'd been painfully single after a short romance with Bluegrass gave her three lovely children. Knot Bit was still at home but she'd gone off with friends for the afternoon. Of course Barley Pop and Country Kitchen had moved out into their own stables, now happily in their own culinary field. They visited often and they had family dinners every week but Bon bon had to admit she was a little lonely. Her sister, Scent Puff, had her handsome stallion Taiko while her other sister, Noel, was happily married. So meeting Roddy and seeming to hit it off made her little painted heart flutter a bit.
After checking his hair for the 20th time Blue finally made his way toward the address on the flyer. The rockabilly singer had just finished a series of concerts and, despite his adoring fans, he'd been feeling rather lonely. He needed a sweet little Mama or maybe a handsome Big Daddy at his side, someone he didn't have to be perfect for. Someone that didn't mind his occasional strumming on his guitar or the music paper spread around on the couch. Music was in his soul, much like Daddy Draft, but he still wanted someone to fill his heart.
Kit took a big breath as he stood outside the bar. He checked once again that he didn't have flour or grease stains on his coat. He wanted to look his best but he was so nervous! The large stallion with painted brown marks was still looking for that little lady in his life. He'd tried a few times but nothing seemed to stick to his ribs. Finally getting his courage up he entered the bar, seeing he wasn't the only one here. In fact he saw one of his cousins, Blue! A thought crossed his head.....how many of his relatives would be here? That....might prove an issue. As he approached the colorful stallion handing out strange little cookies and explaining the rules he thought it best to mention.
Splash lazily floated his way toward the bar, a flyer stuck in his hat. The park was closed for maintenance today so he thought he'd make the best of it and maybe try out this dating thing. He'd not been on a date in awhile, given someone invariably suggested they go to the theme park he worked at. He's laid back attitude also didn't help in the flirting department. He approached Fruit Punch, smiling with an almost sleepy expression,
