Personality: A calm phony who seems to have his emotions in check, Crypt Keeper does not wear his heart on his sleeve and it can be difficult to tell what he is thinking or feeling by the muted expressions he shows. He is soft spoken but never meek, Crypt will speak his mind and he is open about his opinions, unafraid to stand up for them or for anyone that has a hard time doing it themselves. A big advocate for the underdog, he will always have the back of anyone he sees being mistreated whether it be him stepping into harms way to stop bullying or giving a pep talk after things have settled. He is also quite the activist, participating in peaceful protests, organizing and signing petitions, he feels they're important parts of the process even if the results they see are small and slow. While his debates are passionate and fact-based, Crypt Keeper can admit when he is wrong and will always own up to his mistakes. Where Crypt Keeper concentrates himself, though, is not simply limited to the disenfranchised phonies of the park but those that most would consider frightful. His heritage is a mixed bag, with his parents being one monster hunter and the other a certified monster; while he doesn't know them, the knowledge he does have has affected his outlook on the world as well as himself. He is interested in monsters and cryptids because he sees himself in them and he knows some of what they have to endure; being othered, exaggerated, stalked, and made a spectacle. Crypt Keeper wants to make a career of helping those less fortunate, to be a record keeper of their personal stories as well as the positive change he might be able to help instill. He has an extensive knowledge of lesser known stories, myths, and urban legends under his belt and works to debunk a lot of misunderstandings that outsiders have of the creatures they discuss, from Bigfoot to the Mothman and every Flatwoods Monster or Fresno Nightcrawler in between.

Dislikes: Unnecessary criticism, snap decisions, harsh judgments, meanness for meanness' sake, characters in horror stories falling prey to their own stupidity, demonizing the supernatural, vilifying mental illness

Purpose: Cryptozoology (and monster rights activism)

Occupation: Officially he works with the Phonyland Lost & Found, including help get lost babbies and kiddos back to their guardians. Unofficially, he runs an investigative blog that explores and documents all manner of conspiracies, cryptids, urban legends, and creepypastas in the hopes of keeping a cohesive record. Whether they have been debunked or are obviously fake, Crypt treats the narrative as though it is one hundred percent plausible at all times but he does list whether stories have been confirmed as debunked, true, or pending investigation.

Stable: TBD but i know he's gonna have conspiracy theory boards with red string everywhere and walls covered with newspaper clippings and blurry cryptid photos

Name: Mint Scents
Goes by: Mint (she/her)
Nicknames: Minty
Type: Earth

Personality: Calm, nurturing, dutiful, and responsible, Mint takes very strongly after her father and holds a close interest in tradition. She is always eager to please and volunteers her services but rarely, if ever, breaks her laid back demeanor. Mint Scents is soft spoken, compared to her mother, but she loves both parents equally and enjoys time with all of her siblings. Unlike the rest of her siblings, it's when Mint goes dead quiet that you should tread cautiously; she bottles her anger and tension rather than letting it out so when she refuses to speak you know things are bad.

Occupation: Makes and sells her own incense and potpourri as Phonyland favors but also offers aromatherapy services at a higher cost, allowing for comfortable relaxation and meditation.

Name: Riptide
Goes by: Riptide is really simple, it's fine. (he/him)
Nicknames: Tide, Ripped
Type: Merphony - Brush 'n Grow Bicorn (with sparkles)

Personality: On the outside, Riptide presents as reserved and well put together. He is practical, resourceful, dependable, and ambitious. On first meeting, he can come across as quite the serious phony with his self assured attitude and assertive nature. The truth is, he's not as stoic as he seems. Much like the tide, his emotions have more power than he lets on; Riptide is a surprisingly passionate phony that isn't always sure how to keep his head above water. He can be a bit moody and unpredictable at times but he means well, always ready with a sincere apology when he goes too far. At his core, Riptide wants to help people and that's why he acts as a Lifeguard around the Lagoon of Phonyland. He's taken up the responsibility of keeping non-merphonies safe as well as making sure the mers aren't too infringed upon by land-dwelling folk. Most of the time he's in job-mode, which means he's alert and on guard -- this is the image most have of him and it's a hard one to shake because he takes the responsibility to heart. However, once he's clocked out, Riptide's ability to relax and socialize comes easily; jokes pour from him like a calm stream and his smiles are genuine. He bears no anxiety or self-consciousness when it comes to conversation, an honest phony who always says what he means and lets his actions speak louder than words. Rip is also a bit of a collector, particularly of seashells. He knows the benefits of delayed gratification and will take the time to invest himself in hobbies or new friends if he feels the effort is warranted. Quality over quantity is his motto. Riptide is never one to rush into things, preferring to take his time, but once he is able to immerse himself wholly into something there is nothing that can turn him away from it.

Purpose: The constellation of Capricorn is representative of two halves becoming whole, most distinctly two halves that are unrelated; land and sea. It could be said that Riptide's purpose is akin to compromise; he's a peacekeeper, whether that means negotiating agreements or putting himself in harm's way. At the end of the day, Riptide rests well knowing he has been able to help people.

Occupation: Riptide works as a lifeguard around Phonyland's lagoon area. Day or night, you can be sure he's aware of the goings on around the lagoon and he'll be doing his utmost to keep everyone enjoying its waters are as safe as can be. It's helpful that he lives right nearby, so you can always find him. He can be a bit silly about it when he's not "on", making a mockery of the work in ways not dissimilar to Baywatch. He's got the hair for it, he thinks he could make a decent Pamela Anderson.

Stable: He lives on the coast of the Lagoon in an underwater grotto that connects topside to a miniature working lighthouse. It is only miniature because it doesn't need to be as big as occupational lighthouses, he just has it because he likes it and sometimes makes neat shapes with the light or cuts the light all together to better see the stars across the lagoon. Its light can be seen at night by any phonies living near the lagoon, which is a wonderful treat if you like to communicate in Morse Code by lights or put out other cute secret messages.
